Meandering pathways, hillside views and lush plant life are just a
few of the amenities at The Mountain Mermaid, an eccentric and colorful
venue in Topanga, California. Bride Tracy and Groom Andrew embraced this
gorgeous, airy location and experienced a wedding day full of color,
light and naturally, love.
This blissful day started with the sun sitting high over the
treasured manner. The Mountain Mermaid features patios and great rooms
with a rustic façade and a plethora of terra cotta clay pots filled to
the brim with plants. The couple used this as the inspiration for the
look of their day.
Tracy was going to walk down the aisle in a pair of white stilettos
with delicate flower appliques. Her bouquet was teeming with color from
orange dahlias to assorted greenery and pink Veronica. Tracy even added
dainty orange and purple flowers in her hair to coordinate.
Her bridesmaids all looked bright and bubbly in short peach-colored
V-neck dresses and her maid of honor wore a cheery strapless pink
dress. They all wore matching necklaces and sported their own unique
hairstyles, all while carrying bouquets similar to the bride’s.
She wore a strapless lace sheath gown that was elegant and
figure-flattering. She accessorized with a half-up hairstyle and
statement earrings. Arm and arm with her proud parents, she walked down
the stone sidewalk to the ceremony.
Standing underneath an arbor made out of natural wood and adorned
with bunches of flowers and ribbons, the couple said “I do.” Hand in
hand, Tracy and Andrew said their vows and were pronounced husband and
wife.
This venue possesses some amazing photo opportunities so Tracy and
Andrew took advantage after the ceremony. Next to a distressed gate, the
two gazed lovingly in each other’s eyes for a fun, romantic shot.
Past a few fountains and lovely gardens, guests made their way to the
reception. White-covered tables were enhanced with neutral-colored
runners, gold mirror glass votives and a collection of flowers in green
vases.
The cake table was distinctive and original. Behind the cake was a
background full of multi-colored ribbons. The couple offered guests
three choices of cupcakes, all sitting atop a simple white tower. The
top layer was a small cake that featured lovely white rippled fondant
and bright flower garnishes.
In a room lit with soft candlelight and a gorgeous bucolic
chandelier, the newly mined Mr. and Mrs. danced in a room of their
dearest friends and family. With the look of love in their eyes, the
couple was feted with a gorgeous celebration as the sun set into the
night.
This warm, inviting wedding day was perfect for Tracy and Andrew. If
it’s any inclination, their future together will be beautiful, bright,
and warm. Congratulations!
